The goal is to clear out reserved capacity from projects that never broke ground, which means a slower project now loses its grid slot in half the time it used to.
What To Do About It
Check the issue date on every connection condition your business holds: anything issued after 30 April 2026 runs on a 1-year clock, not 2. Confirm the new deposit and fee with your grid operator (OSD) before submitting a new application, and ask what milestone schedule applies to your specific permit stage.
