Why It Matters
A 40-seat Business Standard tenant now pays about 1,500 USD more a year than before 1 July, and the increase lands automatically at the next contract renewal, not on a fixed date everyone shares. Business Premium got no increase at all, which narrows the price gap to Standard to about 8 USD per user per month while adding security features Standard lacks.
What To Do About It
Ask your Microsoft partner for your tenant's exact renewal date and current plan before it auto-renews at the new price. Compare the new Standard cost per seat against Premium's unchanged 22 USD: for many 20 to 60 seat tenants the gap has shrunk enough that upgrading now costs little extra and buys real security tooling.
