Why It Matters
Business Standard rose from $12.50 to $14.00 per user per month and Business Basic from $6.00 to $7.00, with matching increases across E3, E5 and Frontline. Microsoft bundles in extra security and management features to justify the jump, but for a 40-seat firm the raw increase is real money added to next year's software line, and it lands all at once at renewal rather than gradually.
What To Do About It
Pull up your Microsoft partner or CSP invoice and check the renewal date on your current commitment, not today's price list. If renewal falls in the next 90 days, ask your provider for the new per-seat number now so it sits in next year's budget instead of showing up as a surprise on the invoice.
